A building contract (also known as a construction contract agreement) is a legal document that outlines the terms and conditions of a construction project.

It is an agreement between the owner of the property (the client) and the contractor who will be responsible for the construction (the contractor), collectively referred to as the parties to the construction contracts.   • The timeline for completion of the building projects under construction contracts.
  • The amount of labor put in by the contractor and the contractors team.
  • The cost of the project (contract price or lump sum contract) as well as any repayment of costs incurred by the general contractor. Thus, the construction contract sent out the total costs related to the construction contract such as materials and labor to be included in the total price.
