A farm lease agreement is a legally binding contract between the owner of agricultural land (farm land) , known as the lessor, and the person who wants to rent it, known as the lessee or tenant. The lease agreement sets out the terms and conditions under which the land can be leased, including the monthly rent, the duration of the lease, any such fixtures that are included within the farm lease agreement, Lessee's fixtures, maintenance by the landowners, expenses, period of lease, any written notice to be given by one party to the other party to the farm lease agreement, size of the farm land, the responsibilities of the parties whist leasing the farm, and any other clauses that are necessary to govern the relationship between the parties and any such provision to which both the lessor and lessee agrees to under the farm lease agreement.
The farm lease agreement template is used for various purposes, such as for farming or grazing of livestock or Joint Venture farming. The lease agreement provides benefits to both the lessor and lessee/ tenant of the farm during the leasing period. The lease agreement should be signed by both parties, and it is important to have the agreement in writing to ensure that both parties understand and agree to the terms.
The Lease of the property can be on a month to month basis or for a set term or duration as decided by the tenant leasing the property and the lessor of the property.
It is also important, for legal reasons, to note that any changes to the lease agreement must be made with the prior written consent or written notice of both the lessor and lessee/ tenant. The property lease agreement is an entire agreement and any remaining provisions, such as the responsibility for any fixtures or equipment, should also be included in the property lease.
Late payments should also be addressed in the lease agreement, and the lessee should agree to indemnify the lessor for any legal reasons related to the property lease agreement. Additionally, if the lease agreement is for a fixed term, it will automatically expire at the end of the term unless both parties agree to renew the lease of the property.
